Nậm Cang Primary School, Nậm Cang Commune, Si Ma Cai District, Lào Cai Province is located at an altitude of 1,500m, 25km from the district center on winding mountain roads. Previously, the school only had unstable ADSL Internet with speeds of less than 2Mbps.
"Teachers had to walk 3km to a spot with 4G signal to download materials," shared Ms. Vàng Thị Mỹ, the school principal.
In July 2025, the school was equipped with the Starlink system from
internet-starlink.com under the "Internet for Highlands" program.

With stable Internet speeds from 150-180Mbps from
internet-starlink.com, the school now has:
Connected classrooms: Students participate in online classes with friends in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
Digital library: Access to a treasure trove of books, newspapers, and educational videos.
Teacher training: Teachers participate in online professional development courses.
Cultural preservation: Students record and share Hmong ethnic culture online.

After one semester using Starlink from
internet-starlink.com:
- Vietnamese scores increased by 1.2 points
- The percentage of students who enjoy going to school increased from 85% to 98%
- 100% of teachers received online professional training
- The school won first prize in the provincial "Science and Technology Innovation" competition
"Starlink from internet-starlink.com not only connects the school but also brings the entire Nậm Cang village into the digital age," Ms. Mỹ proudly said.
